Our Programs:

At the present time we have 39 Standing Committees. We sponsor 4 major events during the year.

Fort Foster Rendezvous is in February. This is a week of re-enactment of the Second Seminole Indian War era of 1836. Suttlers come from all over the United States to participate. Over a thousand school children are given a free tour to inform them of the historical significance of Fort Foster.

Spring at Fort Foster is provided specifically for the younger children. There are egg hunts and numerous games and activities.

Haunted Woods is in October just before Halloween. It is a safe alternate to trick or treat. It is the major fund raising event of the year and provides enjoyment for all ages. The older children and adults are frightened along the haunted woods trail while the very young children have fun in the enchanted forest.

Derby Day is in December and is an event for the physically challenged. Both young people and adults participate in various activities around the 2 + mile loop inside the park. This includes walking, running, wheel chairs and bicycles.
